A painting of Louis Armstrong for my Dad's birthday (October 2nd) for his office.
On canvas.
He is three colors but one color is the background.
I used Mod Podge to stick on design paper with music notes on it.

I felt the need to burn the stencil so it could be a more special and personal present, and wouldn't be duplicated for anyone.

Also, i was told my videos are boring and like all the other stenciling videos, so i decided to dance and give CPR to Mel the TY Koala.

(I got flagged for using a Luis Armstrong song without permission. YouTube made me change it (TWICE) so now it is the Rebirth Brass Band)

  • what do you spray paint the final work on? is that some sort of canvas?

  • @claree2 yes, just a 16x20 canvas

  • and how do you get the stencil soo clean with no extra smudges or dots coming out the paper? Like I use acrylic paint, ( I know stupid, but I cant spray paint at the moment because its winter, ) and yeah... It comes a lil messy. A lil help pleasE?

  • spray paint comes out in thinner coats than acrylics. try dabbing the paint on. if that doesnt work cut your stencils out of thicker paper. i prefer cardstock but have gone with printer paper a few times. and kanye sounds like a good idea. dont be suprised if you see him in a video one day.

  • Do u use photoshop to create the stencil? plz reply:)

  • sure do
