The exhilarating journey begins 500 feet above sea level, at the top of "Hog's Back", near the gate to the interior. From there, participants travel nearly three quarters of a mile over the 3,671-foot zip line down to Descanso Beach. The ride is comprised of five separate sections with a total elevation drop of 440 feet and speeds reaching 40 to 45 mph. Each platform along the way gives participants a chance to admire spectacular views of the surrounding island interior and ocean and read interpretive signage depicting the unique and interesting aspects of Catalina Island; its flora, fauna and history.

Can you slow down the trip by bringing a couple umbrellas? Can a little kid double up with their parents? I wish you would publish more facts in the description, like how long the ride at each segment is, what age, height, or weight limitations there are. Stuff like that. It looks like two people can go together, you might explain how that works. It looks great, but left me with a lot of questions.
