gosh they all laugh about it but when they won't be anymore fish maybe they will stop laughing about a serious matter as this one?! The only thing that matters to the goons who run the show is Money! Even wars are for Profit. How about this - Nations actually fighting each other over fishing rights. They don't dare have another World war, due to Nukes. They have mini-wars now instead. They just find some small Countries to pick on and slaughter them. I live in a fishing town. Where there used to be plenty of fish, there is none. I'm talking fish like Cod, Pollock, Haddock and so on. Its much worse then they say!.

Hugh amounts of untreated sewage is drained / dumped into the oceans everyday. Not only that, but mercury in fish is higher then it has ever been. I've talked with some local captains who said they had to dump their catches, due to mercury levels - "being to high for consumption." Cree Prophecy. I am a 5th generation commercial fishing and what I have witnessed these are not true facts. The biggest problem with the fishing industry will always come back to Govt mis-management and greed by desk fisherman who rape and pillage our oceans without ever actually stepping foot on there several boats, working them around the clock. The real fisherman are the ones who give a shit, 1 boat and fish conservatively supporting all aspects of sustainability. We are the real protectors of the sea...

Lack of education in consumers + lack of care/consideration. Nihilistic attitude towards the future manifests in a hedonistic lifestyle. Green for gain in companies. A tradition of fishing for fisherman - difficult to see other prospects. All of these things plus many more.

Its not so hard to change. But the majority of people do not care. They will never reject fast foods and its unlikely their attitudes will change. Whats out of sight is out of mind. Same with other major earth issues - CC
