  • I saw Tony Williams lifetime at a small Bar in Rosyln NY in 1975 "my fathers Place". We were the first table in from of Alan Holdsworth and my jaw was on the floor the whole time. It was so incredible to be 17 yrs old and see this cutting edge music. We were underage, drove over an hour to see them and gambled on not getting carded just to see them play.

  • @mbrewzer: Fantastic story of youthful 'fan faith' that was rewarded in the best possible way. I'm envious because I never got to see the 'Believe It' lineup with Holdsworth; I saw them on the Million Dollar Legs tour in LA but Holdsworth had bailed and had been replaced by Marlon Graves. Wish I could go back in a time machine and sit with you guys at that table!

actually, it is a tune of mine called "Celebration". I wrote it in my days in Boston before the Lifetime gig.
