@tkrats52 Todd didn't trust Blair with the truth she was blackmailing him, she happened upon the truth via Starr's tape recorder. OMG, B fans will never accept it but Todd has said he loved Tea even upon his return he said to John "there was a time that Tea and I loved each other very much" and numerous other times just upon his return alone. It was enough Blair is always the one til this day who has always been on Todd about "changing" to be with her. He wanted to be better for Tea with Tea.
I look back at TnT and I realsed that Tea loved Todd but Todd didn't love her or if he did not like she loved him. Tea wanted to chnage Todd, she wanted him to be this proper type person and Todd wasn't. She gave everything she could but it wasn't enough. Todd only gave her scraps, moments, nothing real (specially DID). He trusted Blair with the truth, he knew she wouldn't betray him. I feel bad for Tea. I think that's why she is so angry with Todd now that he is back and that Victor is the fake
Blair was living in his home and he still wanted Tea and told her she could move back in because he wanted her. Anytime he talks about love, its all about Tea. Loved the DID s/l until its tragic end. I so want TNT again b/c they still have me swooning.
@sheashond I think Viki in a way fulfills Todd's mother-substitute if in fact that's something that he wanted. I think that he harbored deep seeded issues with his mother abandoning him and leaving him behind with Peter, but in no way is he using Tea as a mother substitute. The two struggled so much because Todd was a ball of damage I mean this is Todd Manning here his attempts at normalcy failed in the past so he didn't know how to just have a normal love but he sure as hell tried for Tea.
@79lucatoni I agree. I believe Todd needed Tea as a mother-substitute for himself (mother/son), and a step-mother for Starr. Todd lost his kind and loving mother when he was young. He suffered tremendously because of that. He never got over it. Wonderful and strong Tea fulfilled that role for him, which worked well--as long as he didn't have to have sex with her. Tea truly loved Todd, but needed an adult (man/woman) relationship to feel fulfilled. That's why the two struggled so much.
Todd was going to say 'no' he didn't love Tea......how much more proof do u people need. she was weak and willing to take all his abuse. he knew that.....he needed her. alot. thats all. Todd never TRULY loved Tea.
@shavemedusa think he was afraid to admit how much he loved her...he didn't seem to be affected at all that blair was with sam and besides blair was trying to take the sun away from him again with that tape...he's better off with tea and tea's too good for him anyway but he really does love her...look at how angry he gets when tea tells him a divorce from him would help his case...he doesn't want to lose her...he loves her...more than he's ever loved blair!!!
