It isn't about being gipsy. Paco de Lucía, who is mostly recognised as the best flamenco guitar player of all time, is not gipsy. He also says in interviews that the thing is not being gipsy, but live as a gipsy, their culture, tradition... It's like BB King. He lived as a bluesman, and that's why he is a bluesman, not because of being black.
Paul Gilbert is not a flamenco player, and doesn't know the "palos". He's just messing around.

patetico dios! menuda mano derecha!

Ok, maybe you are right, but you must to have lived flamenco since you were a kid to know how to play flamenco (guitar, singing, dancing, etc).

You are both ignorant and arrogant to think this skill is something only Spanish Gypsies are born with. I would agree certain races are predisposed to excel at certain forms of music though.

Flamenco is not about practising every day. To play flamenco you have to born with that talent, almost an excusivity of the spanish gypsies.
You can try to play flamenco every day, but if you don't have that talent ("arte" in spanish), you play something similar, but not pure flamenco.
Paul plays very well, but in flamenco is a bad-normal guitarist. He plays something similar to flamenco.
Paul is <b>THE MAN!

he is not very bad, his left hand is not like many of the greats. Flamenco is not about sound exactly like someone else, it is about expressing yourself in your own way.
