Sun Flight

During the 2008 Spring semester at the Hartt School of Music, I was enrolled in a film scoring class. Under the direction of Joseph Turrin, I was assigned two short animated clips to score. This is the first: Gerald McDermott's Sun Flight. It's the story of Daedalus and Icarus. This clip is a live recording of the performance that I have synced up to a copy of the film on my computer. Nice job on the score. Gerald McDermott's films have influenced so many film makers over the years.

Lord, your score is so powerful and intense. I watched this video dozens of times without even realizing this was an unofficial version. When I finally heard the original it was awesome too, but yours fits the tone of the story so much better. So epic and I love the way you synchronized the music so perfectly with the building sequence in the beginning. Makes Daedalus look like some kind of god creator reveling in his creations.
