This was the BBC's annual celebration of all of the best of its' output, screened at peak viewing time on Christmas Night. This edition, screen in 1964, is hosted by Jack Warner, otherwise known as Dixon of Dock Green. Each edition had a 5-10 minute segment from each star or series, and these specials were on most years from 1958-72. It was based on the specials called 'Television's Christmas Party', which ran from 1951-54.

I was in the Chicago Gang Show way back when . . . in the sixties. Really loved it.
I remember Ralph and Bob Reader. Great memories. We used to stay up at Glenview Naval Air Base to rehearse the show . . . Wow

Brilliant video, but I am confused! Is this part 1 as stated on the title or shout it be part 7? As it is listed after part 6 and before part 8, also there is another video which is called part 1???

Great upload - really took me back - I'm an American whose family moved to the UK around this time. Spent my formative years watching a lot of these shows.
