@je28511 But, the 'hipsters' 'druggies' 'hippies' San Franciscans snubbed them, also.

I don't understand, why @ 1:27, the guitarist also doing harmonica duties stops and starts singing but the harmonica still going. ???????
-
Did they appeared in a Flintsones episode?
-
Why are you hearing this alot on the radio? It's a timeless classic.
Great riffs and lyrics that still apply today.
A great song. Thanks for posting!!

I will dedicate this song to Caroline Jensen the girl who decided to screw half the base while I was getting shot at in Afghanistan. She is getting everything she deserves right now

Where's The Beau Brummelstones?

North Beach days, San Francisco, few years after their break up I would see lead singer Sal selling racing forms on friday nights at old Bay Meadows Racetrack in San Mateo.. Nice to talk with, but I felt sorry for his short career... tough competion during British Invasions Beatles, Animals, The searchers...

@sauquoit13456 It'd be better.

The harmonica plays a rather horrid bum note at 1:13. I'd never noit before, and now I can't help noticing it every time I hear the song.
-
produced by stewert "sly" stone. does anyone have an unedited version of this? the harmonica break is edited about 10 seconts at 2:00.
-
Where's the left hand guitar player from the Flintstones?
-
These guys put San Francisco on the rock n' roll map back in early 65' and were likely the first folk-rock band as well considering this song predated The Byrds version of Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man by about 3 months.

When I first heard this record in 1965 I thought the title of the song was "Last Laugh" {It fits}...
