These are a few of the scenes from the movie Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs that I animated.
A couple of them dont have audio with them but if you see the movie you will get what's going on.
I am more proud of this movie than any other I've worked on. Im so happy to have had the opportunity to work on it. All work on this reel is propery of Sony Pictures Animation.

  • Wow. I mean wow. You have done an amazing job on all your work, I can tell your dedicated to making it the best it can be. I loved this movie, especially the "FLDSMDFR." I hope you continue making such amazing animations like this. I adored the Harrey Podder vid :)

  • @xxxNarglesxxx Thank you so much for the great comment. I love my job and love doing this every day for a living.

I actually think it's time to update my demo reel. I've worked on 3 more movies since Cloudy. it's time I update the reel.

  • this is so cool - I can't believe I have the chance to congratulate the person who animated this movie I went to a while ago with my girlfriend - she liked the movie too a lot so from us both awesome job sir !

  • @GagaManMusic Thank you so much. It's so great to hear from people that like the movie because even though we get to hear the box office numbers we never hear first hand what people thought. So thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

  • You totally got to animate the best scene in the movie.

    "FLDSMDFR".

  • Same here! Beautiful work! I loved those scenes! Facial expressions really get me and Flint had a plethora of them!

  • YOU MADE THESE?! thats awesome man! you're really good!!!!

  • Awesome. AWESOME.

  • @stodoe Well, you did a great job and they're trust seemed well placed. And that seems like a pretty good system of animation considering I heard some frames can take up to 9 hours to create in 3-D animated films.

  • @soulstealer450 Also you can see at the very beginning of the demo reel I got like 16 shots in a row of Sam and Flint talking. That almost never happens. You never get that many shots in a row. But because the shots were so close and they slowly get more impatient or excited it had to be very continuous and believable. So I asked for the shots and they trusted me with them.

  • @soulstealer450 yep. that's exactly what happens. There are a bunch of teams of animators and each team is assigned numerous scenes. ex. the snowball scene. Then they divide the scene up between the animators on that scene. It's nice when sometimes you get a nice chunk of a scene that all the shots hook up to eachother. Sometimes we're not so lucky. So we have to work very closely with eachother to make sure the hook ups work for continuity.

  • @stodoe Im not surprised. So, for the animators, do you all just get assigned a few different sections to animate and then they're all pieced together?
