nice video; good to know that a stripping retrieve works. Nice fly and explanation, too.
FYI. Dont feel you have to release pinooks; once they are hatched from the cross-breeding--the offspring are sterile. And quite delicious!!!!! Believe it or not even fish with some color still eat remarkable: a testament to the forage base quality in georgian bay area waters.

Actually both, the river is called Garden River and it is within the Garden River First Nation

A pinook is a cross between a Pink and a Chinook. To my understanding this only happens for some reason in the lake Huron tribs. A Pinook is a favorite species of ours, fights very similar to a steelhead.
