COD clearly mentions that all the future appointment of Judges will be made from the judges who did not take oath on pco. It was signed in 2006, and it does not apply on Iftikhar because CJ Iftikhar took oath on pco in 2001. And he refused to take oath on pco along with his colleagues in Nov 2007.

2. I cannot understand how come a minority government in India and Canada can work for yeras and a majority government in Pakistan cannot even make any decision without being lynched by media and opposition?

Zardari is not perfect but so do Sharifs. They both sit and find a middle way to resolve constitutional crisis. I think Zardari is much more reconcliatory than Sharifs. Sharifs want power ASAP at the cost of blood on streets. I don't know ehre it will take U ppl.
