"California" by Owen Pye (2011)

Owen Pye performs fan requested "California" off his 2006 album "If That's Cool With You" on February 25, 2011 at United Action for Youth in Iowa City, Iowa.

Owen Pye came to Iowa City for just the night to play a show at local youth center United Action for Youth, entertaining a mixed crowd of young performers, new friends, and old fans. The song "California" caught Pye by surprise and he remarked that it had been a while since he had played it, as well as the opener for his set "A Song for a Girl." Promoting his latest album, released three days earlier "The Truth About Man", the show had a modest turn-out, given that the majority of his Iowa City fanbase graduated high school the previous May and mostly lived elsewhere (though I drove two hours to see the show and buy the new CD).
