I am English. My surname comes from from old English word for an inn keeper and I believe my family history has a connection to the French protestants that fled France in the 16th Century. SO NO SCOT'S ANCESTRY however I consider The Bruce the greatest ever Briton.
If he'd been born the son of a more powerful nation he would be considered with Julius Caesar, Napoleon or William the Conqueror one of histories all time legends.
He would have killed Wallace in a fight
