When you say inspect the cases before and after, what do you look for? I am curious, thank you.

Most of my components are from the local shop called THE POWDERHORN. Everthing else from Midwayusa.

Is there a way to do this by hand, like getting the media and shake them in a coffee can for a few hours?
I've just bought the Lee progressive 1000, if I have to get the tumbler too I will.

Get the tumbler. Get media for cleaning and treated media for polish. The only other way of cleaning the brass is to use Iosso case cleaner which is good for low volume reloading. Since you got the progressive get the tumbler.
