@Paladin675 Jesus saying "you can't put new wine in an old wineskin" is a metaphor; Jesus smiting a fig tree is perhaps allegorical, but is not metaphorical. Jesus literally, in the text, hated the fuck out of that fig tree.

all the metaphors proposed by the Bible is bewildering. You'd think an all powerful, all knowing, all loving God would have the common fucking sense to tell us what he actually means...like the 10 commandments for example. Whatever the reason is, it is clearly beyond me. Im sure u understand that the fig tree is representing Judaism and he is say if they dont reform and except salvation they will die. @SuperHelpfulAdvice You are correct in the fact that it is allegorical, i will admit i am incorrect in the understanding of your explanation. (You do tend to be extremely sarcastic and insensitive when it comes to Christianity) But on to my point, if you already had the understanding that it was allegorical, why do u continue to poke fun. Is it because its a touch subject and you wanna get people upset, is it because christians offended you in some way, or maybe because you think your funny.
