Whoah. I had no fucking clue Kurt ever played the star spangled banner on guitar there. He sure could play....but he could have turned the amp down slightly. Dang, he's good and all like that, reminds alot of jimi hendrix in the 90's but with more distortion.

That happens to me a lot at gigs where I really get into it.
I think he must've picked the same way i do- the side of my pinky and cuticle of middle finger slide over the strings ahead of the pic. Eventually flays the skin off. I played a 3 song set at a club last fall and didn't notice till I was done that the pick and guitar were sprayed.......
