Now the real fun of the project. In the 90's there was a ton of games that jumped on the MK bandwagon by featuring digitized graphics. And even better, many of these games are emulated in mame and sprites are easily available.
Survival Arts was an interesting game, which was playable, but hindered by a loose hit reaction system, and high damage values (although only at default). The characters were really strange. Represented here are three. Viper would be the hero, but his reason for fighting is for money and fame. Hanna is a woman who had her family murdered in a depressing storyline. She was really fun to make, because I embellished her tele-throw and changed it into a combo starter. Mongo is a fighter who wants to prove how good a martial artist he is by using a ton of guns, knives and missiles.
I resized these characters around 84% from their original size. It was a bit hard to get the right size, but I think this is good side to side with the SF and MK game, with the exsception of a few sprites.
By the way, Survival Arts was created by Sammy, who later created the Guilty Gear series of fighting games. So that gives me an exc use tp put some Guilty Gear inspired super moves and sound effects (and Blaz Blue as well, even though that wasn't Sammy).
Next up, it gets MUCH worse.
