the steps:

1.open openoffice

2.exstra

3.macro's

4.record macro

5.name it

6.record

7.add an object link it to an object

8.try it

it will reset

  • i'don't have a mac but you might solve the problem by adding a hotkey or saving the macro's in your file instead of your computer.

  • hey perhaps you could help. I recently downloaded a .xls file which I am trying to run on a mac in open office. It all appears fine but even with macros enabled, the macro buttons which are supposed to compile results from a series of tables do absolutely nothing. They are animated i.e. sink when clicked, and the text becomes grey and smaller, but they don't trigger anything :( any ideas on how to sort this out? cheers
