Sikhism is still largely made up of Punjabis and is largely confined to India. Has Sikhism ever had a chance to prove its tolerance? If a Sikh girl wanted to marry a non-Sikh- a white guy for example- would that be accepted? Probably not. There are many cases of Sikh fathers killing their daughters who didn't marry who they wanted them to. It seems that Buddhism is the most tolerant religion overall if you want to do comparisons. And it doesn't have a caste system to get in the way either.

But in these other cases, it was because of political instability. In Afghanistan, this was caused by the many wars there, and NOT by Islam. In Pakistan, there are TRIBES that practice honor killings, but that is not a part of the religion of Islam, like the dowry system in Hinduism
