Learn to read real-life Japanese with JapanesePod101.com!

Arriving in Japan, the amount of complicated Japanese text on the street, in stores, and on appliances can be overwhelming. With Everyday Kanji, you can break down these signs into simple elements in order to understand even the most complicated Japanese. Take the quiz at the end to see how much you remember!

This episode, we are looking at a Japanese operating system. If you spend any time in a Japanese company, you will probably have to use their computer at some point and while you may be a pro at computers in English, even simple stuff can seem complicated if everything is written only in Japanese.

  • Kanji are Chinese characters that were adopted into the Japanese language. Please watch our Kanji Corner videos for more information!
