For review by staff as to whether head shaking is OCD, voluntary, tic, what. Had been doing it for two days now.

  • Hi Dinah,

Well, OCD is not so much a concern as a seizure disorder that was recently diagnosed in one of his cousins, and which has similar manifestations. But it could just be tics or mannerisms.

  • i Have This And idk What To Do ! But i Nod My Head Not Shake it...

  • forget his head, y's he eat his sandwiched sideways??

  • I used to do that

  • What a beautiful little guy! My 25 yr old adopted Korean son has Tourette Syndrome. His tics started as a 'hair flick" where he would jerk the hair out of this eyes. then came the shoulder shrug & at one time he even had the Michael Jackson pants grab tic. About 15 tics come and go! Found out if he was with other Tourette people they would often "trade" a tic for a while! Once he hit puberty it got little better but never went all the way away. He functions like any other adult now.

  • It passes eventually, to be replaced with didfferent tics. Now he needs to lick the table/plate after each bite of food. Before that it was needing to touch the floor before getting up from a seated position. Tra la la!

  • Jaymes does this too, but only when he eats. They never did figure out if it was a seizure of some kind or just stimming. What did you end up finding out (I see this is an older video)?

  • OCD and Tourettes can go together and tics can look like OCD.

  • I think it could be a tic, i think he blinks too, tic disorder, tourette syndrome, are comorbid disease with OCD ant autistic, pay attention and going with at the doctor, someone who understand tourette syndrome and OCD.

I know this tics in myself, its bad in my case i have OCD and Tourette Syndrome
