I humbly believe this description to be wrong.
The mixolydian begins ON THE FIFTH degree of the major scale, which would be the FOURTH "note" of the Ionian Pentatonic Mode of the Major Scale which we are working with.
The expert is not wrong at all, just the description.
Just a small typo there don't want to be mean.

the Phrygian is the 3rd inversion of the major scale its a minor scale that comprises of 1 ♭2 ♭3 4 5 ♭6 ♭7 1
thats in the major Phrygian obviously differing from major and dominant.

Please correct my if i'm wrong, but is it like same notes as the phrygian scale of the root note three semitones below the one you're trying to play the mixolydian mode on?
