this bull about smaller schools being able to teach better? The alternative school program that they have for kids with learning disabilities was a nightmare, me and my sister went there and unfortunately they didnt tell us the alternative school was also for the criminally insane and the sex offenders. My sister had a boy expose himself to her and they refused to do anything about it. But boys will be boys? least thats what they told us. Or my personal favorite "its your fault for enrolling"

Uhm i actually lived in tyrrell county in columbia, it was the worst experience of my LIFE, if you even wear black or look just a tad bit different they will grab their pitch forks and accuse you of being a witch or doing "voodoo", i mean SERIOUSLY??? Oh by the way the neighborliness is because they are all RELATED to eachother! If you move there and they dont like you, trust me on this you will be outcasted.

I was just made aware of this video. I spent MANY summers in Columbia visiting my grandparents, Minnie Rae and Adylett Cooper. While I enjoyed watching, I noted that there was one person mising, that you should have mentioned and that is Mr. Shelton Ludford. He IS Columbia, NC. He is known by all in Columbia and a cherished citizen!!!! Oh, and did I mention, he's my great uncle!!! The BEST!!!

- well said Miss Ginger. It sure is true. Tyrrell County is fortunate to have miles of breathtaking sound views, beautiful, wild territory as well as easily accessible interpretive trails - and people who care and get involved.
