Agree with you totally!
I blame most of todays crap music due to computers, making todays generation short attention span and lazy. Did you know most of todays music is created with computer generated loops, and many singers use software aids to help them stay in key!!!---No wonder it all sounds the same!---SO SAD!!!!

The British get through "high school" through form exams. To get into college you do sixth form A-levels in five or six subjects. Like your A-F A-levels have rankings. On rare ocassions, a sixth former is asked to take a Scholarship or S-level exam. Since musicianship in Britain is of a very high standard even at A-levels, this tells us Mr. Jackson knows his music theory and practice, and probably plays two or three instruments with absolute precision. Behind the Albert Hall beckons for him.
