  • wow, what a voice. I have most of Milnes's studio recordings, but this is really amazing

  • @fabouw YES! this is the finest recording! Sherrill Milnes voice is so rich

  • For me personally, no one can top Sherrill Milnes in this aria. Bravo.

  • Bravissimo !!!

  • Best Rigoletto performer. Listen to the 1972 Decca recording featuring an untamable Luciano Pavarotti. Milnes, Pavarotti, Sutherland and Ghiaurov are simply the best.

  • You idiots on YouTube go get a life. You are the stupidest people on earth. This baritone though not one of my personal favorites is one of the great singers of the post WW2 era. You speak of him as though he were just some guy, nobody ever heard of. Only you dumb shits live in the dark and have never heard of him. He was a leading baritone of the world and sang with the other great voices in opera performance the world over. Get a life or go drop dead!

  • @vivegedda Comments like "Buy yourself a new pair of ears!!" are inappropriate, because I didn't say that the guy is necessarily bad, therefore before you make stupid comments, why don't you go and listen to the guys I've suggested above, and if you don't agree with me, then you can go and buy yourself a new pair of ears!!! hehe

  • @barmanjoe Buy yourself a new pair of ears!! II sang with this guy and in his prime he was a real tornado. He sang in his own way but was very efficient but not for long i must admit.

  • @ezev8logos Sorry to burst your bubble, but both Giorgio Zancanaro and Ingvar Wixell kick this guy's butt!!

  • In his prime he had a bit in his voice unlike any other baritone. He was by far the best Verdi baritone.
