@poopstainsz Deaf people don't automatically lose use of their vocal cords. What do you think most Schools for the Deaf were trying to do when they first started up? Their goal was to teach Deaf people how to speak. Which was a stupid goal when teaching them to sign is much better time spent.

@zulita Why are there always ASL nazis? Not every sign has to be absolute perfection even for a native signer.

@XxMrsKaylaJoansxX Dude signs vary from state to state. Some people have home signs for different words. I grew up learning this sign for paper. Some of the signs have changed over the years. My parents couldn't have "new" interpreters because they did too many "new" signs. I would opt for going to Galudete if you're gonna be doing a career involving Deaf services.

@princeslkmeflskdf Some signs vary from area to area. I grew up with Deaf parents and we had alot of home signs that were different from proper ASL. And depending on the state you're living in there might be different variations on one sign from another.
