Does the picture seem fuzzy when watching a movie on the VCR? (Yes, people still use VCR's) Does the VCR Head Cleaner cassette not helping? Here are some steps to clean the VCR w/o using the head cleaner tape....

  • I have 91% alcohol in the house. Is that safe to use on the heads and drum?

  • @67slats that will work fine. Be sure to use lint-free q-tips as well. -MrFixit

  • @ESRepair Hank Hill rules!

  • Thank you so much for making this video! This worked great! Used 70% alcohol, cotton swabs and a business card. It was so easy.

  • sorry im an asshole, just was hard to understand your tutorial at times. It helped though

  • @stanleysfriends Thank you ,stanleysfriends. Glad this video helped you to fix your VCR ,after all that is our main goal . Just watch out for the really abrasive looking cards as well as the ones that look like they may come apart real easy. I learned this trick from a former coworker who was a electronics tech.
