Hi, if I hook this to my ps3 via hdmi, is it possible to connect or get audio through my surround sound speakers

Yes, but you'll have to use the optical audio output on the ps3.

Yeah, was noticeably smoother, but not worth using the projector to play a game like because it's to hard to play a game (FPS) on that big of a screen. Racing game would be fine though.

unless you have a receiver and in this case you could hook your ps3 to your receiver and from there to the projector and there would be no need for separate optical cord

What is the distance from the projector to the screen?

Also diagonal distance of image would be great too.

Good show bud,but i reckon if u lose the remote,ur in major disaster land with just power & auto buttons.. Different movies/sources need tweaking. :)

you will even get 3D blu ray with this projector toghter with the ps3. Just make sure you get the one with hdmi 1.4 and not 1.3

Do you get pop out effects with this through sterescopic or any other 3d player? i hve a benqms 500, when i download clips from youtube, i get depth but no pop out effects, is this the same for all 3d ready projectors? Im roughly 6 feet away and dissapointed about the 3d effects.

Geff solo don't watch the video then bro. There are a hundred 5 minutes long reviews on this projector that don't even scratch the surface on all the things people like me want to know about it. The video has over 100,000 views! This kid made an awesome video and went into every single thing I wanted to know about this projector that no other review on YouTube has done. I'm glad you measured the screen and explained the throw distance...I wasnt sure before. A+ vid. Review the optoma hd20 next!
