I swear the Apollo Theater was swaying back and forth the night I saw Sil Austin and his band do this number. That was way back in 1959.

Did rock and roll die when the saxophone was pre-empted by the electric guitar? Just asking. Thanks for the great post. I remember this one well. Also, Bill Doggett's "Honky Tonk".

this was the first LP I bought in 1955, i still have it. A bit scratchy but still Sil Austin.
Brings back a lot of memories as I am ready to turn 70.
