The "Rites of Thundering" at the "Japan in America" Concert.
March 22, 2008 at Town Hall Seattle
Performers: members of Seattle Kokon Taiko, Kenny Endo (percussion), Kaoru Watanabe(fue)
Composer: Kenny Endo
RITES OF THUNDERING (newly arranged in 2007) by Kenny Endo
Thunder evokes both fear and awe and is an incredible sound from nature. The giant drums of Japan come close to resembling those rumbling sounds. This composition is dedicated to all the young taiko drummers who esteem to be in the new wave of "thunderers." Tonight's performance by Seattle-Kokon Taiko is a special version, arranged for the Japan in America project, and marks first time the composition will be performed outside of the composer's home State of Hawai'i.
Nothing like the beating of a taiko drum to break your rage on.
Hoo, I needed that, thank you hilarious storm drummers. -w-

Taiko is one of the most awesome things in the Asian culture in my opinion.
Went to a convention today where there was a Taiko exhibition, absolutely astonishing.
