This was on the way back from Dallas,Texas on November 23, 1992. This was Ranger, Texas off - 20W highway. We stopped for gas at the Fina gas station there in Ranger,Texas. Also on the video can be seen a sign near or at the gas station which says Ranger. Also, some store or cafe called "Last Chance" is seen next to the Fina gas station.
@supertecrt I lived in Joseph hall too! I did miss the people too. We used to walk 2 miles to school each morning, but there was always someone who wanted to give you a lift!

The cafe was the Pit Grill back then in 1978 ,and the food was great. Then on the other side of town it was the Ranger Hill Truck Stop. And the dorm down town was across the street from Perry's it was a dollar store. The Police & Fire Dept. was located at 110 Pine St. I think the same year the Marston Apt. burned.

Oh, there was a Man named Carlos that would run the Student Union Building at Ranger Jr. College at night, he would help us make long distance telephone calls, that was in 1978, before Cell Phones was in wide use.

I'm from Dallas, Texas. I was a Student at Ranger Jr. College in 1978, I hated Ranger at first, then fell in love with it. I lived in the off campus Dorm, located in Downtown Ranger. I'm now in south texas, in McAllen, working in two Hospitals as a Respiratory Therapist. I miss Ranger and the People, Joe Alexander was the Manager at the College. Oh, I ate at that place that's called the Last Chance, but don't know if it had the same name, then. I worked at the DQ, there in Ranger.
