@Tinman29th Actually, it's a copy and paste of the guitar solo section tacked on at the end. I agree that the original is fine, but some fans feel that an extended jam at the end helps heighten the emotional impact of the song.

Beautiful, beautiful song. I heard it for the first time during the Time on Earth tour, when Neil had just written it, and I knew it was a classic then. I heard it again, on the intriguer tour, after it had been recorded and released and it is just so beautiful. Neil has several gems like this. He has to be one of the best songwriters of all time. He's such a poet and he has such talent for delicious melodies. I adore this song. And I cannot wait for the next Crowded House record.
