Some SPECIFIC instuctions in case you're still confused
1.Type your Player's name & town with EXCACT spelling and CaPiTaLiZaTiOn
2.Go to item list here: http://acuc.multiverseworks.com/accg/itemlistingp.php
3.Choose what item you'd like & copy the code (HEX) not dex
4.Return to the window with your player's name & town & paste it onto the correct space
5.Recheck the item list & make sure if there's any special requirements ( such as NES contest only )
6.Click "Submit Query"
7.Use the code shown in the gray space on your animal crossing (For Gamecube Only)

@funny4show *Continued and sorry for the long comment* anyways it is rather sad that the e-reader didn't do so well as there were a ton of cool Animal Crossing cards where you'd get to see the side of a villager that made them different from the whole set up to have a personality type (Grumpy, Normal,Snooty, Peppy) they would show a side if you scanned them and read their letters and they'd even have passwords to send in letters for cool stuff like different train station models.

@funny4show (and before Super mario Bros. there was a game just called Mario bros. for the arcades which was where Luigi was first introduced) anyways you can get the NES version of Mario Bros. and Ice Climber with special e-Reader cards which is the only way to get the two without hacking, your best bet to find those two e-cards is eBay since the e-Reader didn't do so well (not as bad as the virtual boy but not good enough to reach Nintendo's expectations) *2bcont.*

@funny4show Well you can get Mario Bros. (Not Super Mario Bros. since that can't be gotten without an action replay and the only time anyone could legally get Super Mario Bros. and The Ledgend of Zelda was at a giveaway event only in Japan kind of like how official character Chao were only availble without hacking at an event in Japan (I know you can get a Tails Chao with Phantasy Star online but the game has two different type of Tails Chao) *2bcont.*
