I can't convince my dog to jump in the pool, my bt. maybe its cause shes aout 7 months old, but she hates water. will she ever like it?

@jmsaxmantha2nd You can change his behavior, incentivating him to stay near the pool, try to use some food he likes. And it's slow, try this exercise a few minutes per day.

It's funny, I always assumed that these dogs would be too dense to swim. Guess not.

Zsa-Zsa, my bully, hated swimming. Unless the water was muddy or smelly.

We put our bt (who is afraid of almost everything) in water, and she hated it, but man she swam really well.

my dog hated the water but loved my wife and when my wife was in the lake having fun he had to come to see what the screaming was all about then after that you couldnt keep him out.... keep trying without actually forcing or dragging him in.... foods or toys may work and it may start with a walk in the downpouring rain when he cant avoid the puddles... good luck

I have a puppy who is 5 months now and when i shower she comes sitting with me in the shower and tries to wash my legs its adorable! i hope when she is older she would love to swim ) its to cold in the water now!'

@jmsaxmantha2nd i had one that hated water all her life, wouldnt even walk thru a puddle after the rain would walk around them, hated to be bathed and would run a mile if it saw a hose

the one i have now is a little like beautifull kaya above, we dont have a pool but she loves water so much i bought her one of those clam shell kiddies pools, she loves it bribery will work to a degree with any bt, but if she really hates it i doubt she will come around
