The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, is asking for the public's help in solving a Southeast Portland robbery.
On August 14, 2011, at 6:10 p.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct responded to the report of a robbery at Southeast 51st and Foster Boulevard.
Officers arrived in the area and learned that the victim, 21-year-old Seonyung Noh of Southeast Portland, was riding a TriMet bus when a suspect grabbed onto her purse and pulled the victim and the purse out of the bus at Southeast 52nd and Foster Road.
Noh was seated on the bus near the back exit door when the suspect grabbed onto her purse, which was wrapped around her arm, and the suspect pulled her and the purse out the back exit door onto the street, dragging her on the ground for a few seconds. The suspect was then able to get the purse away from the victim. A witness then struggled with the suspect and the suspect threw the purse over a fence and ran away. The witness then retrieved the purse for the victim. The only thing missing was the victim's ear phones.
The suspect is described as a white male, unknown age, 6'00" tall, 150 pounds, blonde hair, wearing a purple shirt and a "KBS" tattoo on his left hand. The suspect was accompanied by a white female, 5'00" tall, 100 pounds, with blond hair, wearing sunglasses.
