Kris tells that story in several documentaries, this is pretty common knowledge.
It was suggested that he changed "stoned" to "home". He looked at kris, who said it's not the same thing!
Cash sung "stoned", even stressing the word while looking at kris sitting at the balcony.

well listen , im really not trying to sell my songs here on youtube (honestly) but i wrote a song with johnny cash in mind the very next day of his passing , itscalled ' dont cry for me ' its online at cdbaby , im vance johnson , a.k,a. capt.meat., i loved johnny cash, hes my hero . im 57 so , i grew up listening to him on the radio . thanks .
