Gun Control and Tyranny

Gun control legislation is aimed at depriving Americans of their Second Amendment rights guaranteed by the Constitution. The first step is gun registration so that the government will know who to target. Demonization of gun owners and the Constitution itself is one tactic. Our Forefathers made it clear that the purpose of the Second Amendment was to protect Americans from tyranny from their own government.

@jkmcdani This bill was to test the waters. They won't give up. There will be another one. They have many tactics for taking our guns, including a UN treaty, putting us under an international govt whose laws superceed those of our Constitution. That is their ultimate strategy.

@thenewsurvivalist I agree that this is also a threat we have to guard against. Such a treaty would need to ratified by a 2/3 majority of the senate to become law. This would be tough although we know our government doesn't really care for the constitution these days. I do not think the men and woman of law enforcement, in large percentages, would enforce a law like the UN Treaty. Again I'm not saying as constitutionalists we should be complacent though.

@jkmcdani You are right in that most of our military and police will not turn on the American people. But that is precisely why our govt is making more use of foreign troupes and the UN. They want to give the UN authority over our coastal waters. They are setting a precedent. US veterans are looked upon by our govt as among the highest "terrorist" threats. Clearly the Am people are considered the enemy. Men in caves are the boogie men used as an excuse to deprive Am of their rights.

They are using the bogey men in turbines as a excuse for aggression in the Middle East and to disarm and enslave the American people. The real terrorists are the government.

Here in Italy like the rest of the europe...is more difficult to obtain a firearm for the price,the burocracy and limitation laws.

@14godlike88 Today our government is constantly passing unconstitutional laws and engaging in unconstitutional activities. They will get away with this for as long as the people tolerate it. Jefferson said that the amt of tyranny that you will live under will be the amt of tyranny that you will put up with. It is a said commentary on Americans that they will tolerate tyranny, & many even welcome it and call for it. This is their mind control (propaganda.) 90% of all wars (or more) is propaganda.

Americans, please listen to what this man is saying, say no to ANY 'reasonable' restrictions. Just look at the history of gun CONTROL (what its really about) in the UK. Its a drip-drip technique that has being used over a period of 100 years here to greatly restrict our means of protecting ourselves and become more and more reliant on them. A series of 'reasonable' restrictions until it gets to the point where it is 'reasonable' to ban any/everything. Defend your and others rights

In April of 2009 the DHS officially declared those who are Tea Party advocates, those who are against abortion, those who speak of adhering to the Constitution, those who advocate private firearm ownership, and returning American military veterans as "domestic terrorists."

Where is the ambituity in their propaganda and their intentions?

@thenewsurvivalist If ever this treaty is put forward the people must squeal like wounded hogs. If any president would sign such a treaty without the consent of congress it must be overturned and the president recommended for impeachment. Obama has already shown the ability to circumvent congress so he is perfectly capable of such. So might other presidents who will come after him. The people must be vigilant. The NRA has people who do nothing but monitor these very things, thank goodness.
