Shanghai Zoo - dogs in cages

I really wish they would get rid of the 'Pet Gallery' because it was kind of hard to look at a bunch of different dog breeds in tiny cages. I think people have a different attachment to pet animals that makes it hard to see them in cages as opposed to animals that they don't see on a regular basis. My personal attachment to zoos has waned over the years but I understand the need to display animals in order to educate the populace. Personal pets don't need to be displayed in cages because their owners will educate people about these animals needs.
