A parody of Ron Howard's Apollo 13 that wonders what Thanksgiving might be like at Gene Kranz's (Ed Harris from Apollo 13) house, especially when things go terribly, but familiarly wrong.

I know its 4 years later but...

in the transcripts from Apollo13's mission, Jim Lovell was heard to used "frappin'" on just about the only occasional he was heard to sound even mildly irritated and stressed. It was when the procedure for that less-than-12-amps restart of the CM was taking its time in getting sorted and sent up to the crew. Jim said something like "please to be getting the frappin' restart procedures up here plskthnx"

To cook turkey in a microwave: joint with a sharp knife and cook several sections at a time. Optional: brown on BBQ/campfire.

This would have solved the problem and enabled downgraded mission objectives.

Yet even KenWood admitted total defeat: "We designed the microwave for heating up leftovers!"

You can see why things went tits-up when you realise that male-chauvanist 1960s NASA (a civvy organisation ffs) excluded half the nation's population from involvement.

Great vid! Interestingly I find the voice of the actor who plays Kronkite more similar to the actual Gene Kranz's voice

gosh, this is great! it would be a shame if no one of the "apollo 13 folks" hadnt seen it.

Its very hard, by the way, to make me laugh, but this parody really cracked me up. Of course i know every piece of the movie in and out, which is necessary.
