Government extortion every where you turn seems to be the way that Michigan is solving there bug it crisis. The driver responsibility fee one of Michigan's ways of solving the money woes. The executive branch of government excising judicial power and authority that they don't have and cant be given according to the founding fathers

  • We have had the highest unemployment rate in the country since Granholm stepped into office! We are up to 14% unemployed as of May.

I can't believe this bullshit law hasn't been repealed yet! It is clearly unconstitutional, so why isn't this taken to the supreme court? I I haven't had a drivers license since spring of 2005. I am up to $5,100 of driver responsibility laws I kept driving on a suspended license and it got worse and worse. I ride a motorized bicycle to get around!!

  • The mich supreme court is nothing but a den of criminals all laws have to be approved by them before they are voted in.They examine them for constitutionality. by approving this law they show what criminals they are.Its time to take out all running the government by force from the local level all the way to Washington. The time for peaceful protest is over our founding fathers said it is our responsibility to take them out by force when they start trashing the constitution and the bill of rights

  • This law got me down so bad that I pretty much gave up on life for a few years. I am a car guy. I didn't just lose my transportation, I lost my hobby. I been bouncing around at dead end jobs just trying to make ends meet. I haven't been able to afford to pay these extra "fees". I wan't to get the hell out of this state. It is so hard to move when you don't have a vehicle!!

  • Michigan is going down hill fast. GM, Chrysler, American Axle. People are leaving the state quickly.

  • @bigdipperwolf Well I did it folks. I got out of Michigan. Oh sure they still have their boot on my neck, I still can't get a job because THEY have a warrant out for me. I can't pay their "FEE" because I can't get a job, I can't get a job because I can't pay their fee.

  • Joshmanz28 is my brother. He died 7 months ago because of this law. And now, I'm dealing with the driver responsibility fees. The people who illegally put this law into effect should be jailed.

  • their is millions of people that think it is fucked up!!! i am one of them!!!

  • I say Grannieholm pay a "Governors Responsiblity" Fine in the amount of 8 years worth of money she may have personally (earned?) via the tax payers!

Also, you say your talking to the State reps but y'know they're probably on the corrupt side too, so.....good luck !

  • @mannexx111 just say when brother, they refuse to listen to anything we have to say. The judge shut me down and threw me in jail.

  • over 35,00 people are leaving this state every year. I will soon be one of them due to this legalized blackmail by our government. I will not be paying these "fee's" and I am anticipating being turned into a criminal over it. when this happens I will retaliate!

  • BRACE YOURSELFS!!!! warning the statement I am going to make will piss you off.........I was speaking with a lawyer just yesterday and our elected officals our legislators are pushing and it looks like it going to pass, a revision of this driver responsibility law and make it retro active!! *goose bump* can you say CIVIL WAR!.......LADYS AND GENTLEMEN OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME OPRESSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Last friday, the Michigan House Judiciary Committee held a hearing in Detroit to consider repealing the driver responsibility law. I wonder how that went.
