@larjanus You never know, I mean it might be good? Look at the Mummy? Ah who are we kidding this isn't the 90's. The whole thing will probably just be an attempt to replicate Alien. And probably all be done with green screen.

@TheLousyCafe1960 I don't know if they have run out of new ideas or just drive new ideas away because they only want the definite bankable ideas which these days are either big abominable CGI remakes or comic book movies.

I agree: great movies should NOT be remade. Case in point: The Day the Earth Stood Still. Hollywood remakes classics because it (Hollywood) has simply run out of material. Look at the mess that was made of Plant of the Apes by Tim Burton.
