A Tribute to Shirley Bassey
She was awarded Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2000 Queen's Millennium Honors List for her services to Entertainment.
Sang the theme songs for three of the James Bond movies -- more than any other performer. Goldfinger (1964), Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and Moonraker (1979). "Goldfinger" reached the #8 position on the Billboard Top 40 chart in February of 1965.
Winner of the British Record Industry Award for British Female Solo Artist in 1977.
