he keeps adressing eliza as the noble woman, he believes she is. She doesn´t understand but thinks he is acting like this by respect to his mother. they discuss his mother health. she tells him he should stay in rivombroza to take care of the state. (33.00-36.00). rumors start about their relationship. the young servant speaks with spite against eliza and amelia, the old servant, warns eliza about the rumors. She asks eliza if she has told him she is a servant (36.00- end)

Fabrizio asks his mother who eliza is and his mother reply she is her companion and that regards her as a daugther, even more than her own. Fabrizio best friend - Giulio Drago - comes to see him. Drago warns him against the nobles who are rebelling agaisnt the king. The nobles think the king is acting against their interests. Fabrizio finally reads the letter which is a list of nobles who want to murder the king (but he doesn´t read the names) (27.30- 33.00)

Fabrizio meets with the soldier of the king but they are ambushed and the king soldier is killed. He ask Fabrizio, before dying, that he takes the information - a list - to the king (19.00- 21.00) The governor, who is one of the conspirators against the king gives order to ignored the incident. Frabizio returns home and meets eliza for the first time, whom he believes is a noble woman. (22.00-27.00)
