Sacrifice Shiny Entertainment

This video introduces Sacrifice, a real time strategy game (rts) made by Shiny Entertainment!
Sacrifice is about wizard duels, each player starts with a wizard and an altar to which the wizard's life is linked to. The wizard must conquer manasources (mana=magical energy)in order to be able to cast structure-, creature- and attack-spells!
An altar can only be destroyed by desecration which is initiated through a certain ritual the enemy wizard has to do.
Once a wizard's altar is desecrated he is dead and may not interfere in the game anymore!

It's quite sad that a great game like this is just forgotten. If anyone has a twitter account send a message to "Dave Perry", creator of Sacrifice. Ask him to make a Sacrifice 2!! I've sent a message, other people are sending messages. With almost 40,000 views if we all take a moment of a day to send him a message i'm sure we can get him to make a sacrifice 2!!

@puppyk1ller There have already been several attempts by the Sacrifice Community to convince dave perry many years ago. I can't seem to find his official answers, but in other words he said, that he wouldn't be able to raise the necessary amount of money without having the blink of an idea of what Sacrifice 2 will be about. He agued that the only way he could possibly think of a Sacrifice 2 going to happen, would be a fanbased project of voluntary Sacrifice fanatics to breathe life into it.

That is absolutely not true, you can set 4 AI's for any multiplayer game, just select a map and click on the empty slots - the AI's will then appear !

Damn....this Game was my favourite when i had windows 98 xDDD the atmosphere was awesome....u being a wizard and choosing to serve one of the gods...each with their own spells....summoning beasts and raging war....yep i even used the editor to make my own scenarios, i want a sequel to this too...or even a remake ? too bad my new PC cant play it :(

Back when games were Innovative, This and Shiny's other game Messiah were both extremely innovative in their play style and you just dont get that in games any more or very Rarely

i got this game with my msi 3d shutter glasses, and they fucking rocked! while i hate nvidia for dropping support for them, i don't hate them enough to try or prefer ati (in truth ati is just fine, just thought i'd say something even more retarded than mentioning my msi 3d shutter glasses. but its such bullshit, those glasses worked on geforce 5 or 4 at up to 300mhz, why the hell did they stop working. why physical reason stoped them from working. i want to use them with my 430gt damnit).

this game was epic in potential. sadly people prefer (or then preferred) rts games where you were just some unnamed overlord hovering in the sky above. where all your troops bent to your will because you were the evil eye in the sky making them do it. this game you were the leader, on the ground with the troops, spearheading offensives.
