FOR SALE

My 1964 Pontiac Parisienne.

Since this video I have 2 new air filters, new valve covers, fan and fan shrowd, etc.

Its got a numbers matching 283ci V8 with an Aluminum powerglide. The odometer says it has 03062.0miles on it...but I know its wrapped atleast once so it could have either 103062miles, 203062miles or possibly even 303062. But for it being a 45 year old motor that has sat there for 9 years I think it runs pretty good. My video shows this later on.

It was T-Boned 9 years ago on the passenger side so its not the original door. I am currently rebuilding the firewall and the floor panel.

The interior (other than the carpet and dash) is good. The door panels are in storage right now. The headliner and seats are mint!

My plans for the car are/were to shave the doorhandles and gasflap. And also add lake pipes to the cutouts.

The emblem on the back proves that this car was bought here in Alberta, Canada at the Calgary Stampede Buick Pontiac. I have paperwork to prove this. I also have the origial numbers matching owners manual (the vin is on the cover) and the original hubcaps.

Not a lot of people know what Parisiennes are because they are Canadian. (Same with the Beaumont, which you can see 2 of in the background at the start of this video. A black 69 and a white 67)

Oh, and this car is old enough that it was made when Canadas speed limits were still in miles per hour. So my speedometer only has miles per hour on it!

This is a boat of a car. It is just under 18 feet long and the trunk alone is 5 feet 7 inches deep!

These cars were so neat in so many ways. For example, The frame is an X-frame, which for you not-so-car-guys...it means the frame is actually shaped like an X and the 2 frame rails come together under the cab. Another thing that I love about these cars that you just cant find in todays cars is the amout of crome edging around everywhere (Mine by the way is in excelant shape).

And also cars today arent built with the same care and design as this era of cars. Look at the gorgeous lines on top of the fenders and how the rear quarter panels flare out. Also these cars are safer and build stronger. I dont care what scientists say. The car that T-boned this wasa Dodge Neon. The Neon was totalled! It had nothing left of its front end and was scattered all over the road. Where as this car was DRIVEN home after the accident.

I do not know the exact value of the car, but I do know that they are kinda rare.

  • know the feeling well. I am halfway through painting my glider trailer, just did 5 panels yesterday, in about as many months. not enough hours in the day. I think the trick is to enjoy life!! what's the colour called?

  • @hoppinonabronzeleg I dont know what its called. My uncle originally painted the car like 15 years ago before it was in its accident. He has the paint code somewhere and Im gonna paint the car the same color, except with a black roof. The dark green on it I do believe was one of the original colors that you could get on the car

  • Nice motor - get the right side painted!!!!

  • @hoppinonabronzeleg Im workin on it. Theres more than just painting it though. The rear quarter has to be welded together and I ont have the time right now. I wish I did though.....

  • You get puffed walking around you car. Turn off the car and do some more walking tubby boy.

  • @nosman69 Ok sorry mate, it wasn't funny.

  • NO! Your not allowed to sell her! We will fix her up and then we will take her for Sunday drives! And maybe a couple trips down to Bullshit corner!

  • Only accurate comment was by "nosman69". I was 14 yrs old when Dad bought a new '64 Parisienne 2 dr hardtop w/ 327 V-8 @340 HP. ('64 327 had 4 HP ratings: 250/275/300 & 340). '64 full-size Canadian models: Strato-Chief, Laurentien, Parisienne & Custom Sport, w/ Safari wagons in all models except Custom Sport. Chassis & power train 100% Chevrolet, & built by GM's Oshawa, Ontario plant. US Pontiacs used Oldsmobile chassis & power train. "Acadian" only Pontiac compact in '64 (based on Chevy II).

  • Note the Chevy-type parallel wipers and Powerglide automatic transmission quadrant (ParkRNDL) on the steering column. US market Pontiacs had "clapper" wipers and the Hydramatic transmission quadrant (PNDSLR) was built into the instrument cluster...
