It was actually in the Shel Talmy book "Whadda We Do Now, Butch? [Pan Books 1978]," not in the general text but in the epilogue is an interview where Shel talks about his producing career and how there's been a kind of cross-pollonization between his recordings & writings. It's a fascinating read. You know, if you know how to read. I find that when someone has spent so much time/energy/effort on composition of one art form, they are usually inept at another, but here Talmy succeeds brilliantly.
