Join Carl Basamania, M.D., as he performs a shoulder replacement with the Delta Xtend™ Reverse Shoulder System from DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. at North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

"DePuy has launched the Delta Xtend to give us a new option for treating patients with end-stage cuff-tear arthropathy," said Dr. Basamania. "The new shoulder implant's design reduces the risk of scapular neck erosion and fosters preservation of healthy bone tissue to aid in rapid recovery, while optimizing shoulder range-of-motion." 1, 2

As with any medical treatment, individual results may vary. Only an orthopaedic surgeon can determine whether an orthopaedic implant is an appropriate course of treatment. There are potential risks, and recovery takes time. The performance of the new joint depends on weight, activity level, age and other factors.
