  • Yeah, I know. I get asked about that at least twice a day. Carnivores rule. Paranoids drool.

  • @cirenow These people are more likely to die from traveling to a protest than dying from mad cow if they ate American Beef every meal. Misplaced fears = idiots.

  • The 'Mad Cow' protests involve indignation over more than one transgression by the administration.

The leaders of South Korea's conglomerates or 'chaebols' have "long acted as if they were above the law".

"Kim Seung-youn, chairman of Hanwha, an explosives, construction and insurance group, confessed last year to beating bar workers at a building site with the help of his own goons.

The president, Lee Myung-bak, "pardoned him and 341,863 others".

    It's not about being Anti-America

They're refusing 30 month or older beef and bones

because BSE has been found in US beef over 30month and older and other countries are importing far younger beef (mexico=24m, japan=20m).

A mad cow was found in Canada in June 08.

US govt, as of July 7 2008, is banning 30month or older Canadian beef until further notice.

Does that protest look fair now? You can't force other to buy risky goods while you people don't buy it.

  • Thay will eat "Dog Meat" but thay wont eat US Beef? now that's what i call crazy.

  • I personally don't feel like going near some protest. Remember, some of the people (about 30-34%) are anti-American. You never know if someone might attack you. Foreigners do get attacked believe it or not just like the editor of the Korean Herald.

Most Koreans are peaceful, but some wouldn't hesitate to attack a foreigner.

  • If you think nothing will ever happen to you then do whatever you want. Just make sure you have your will made and your organ donor card filled out. And don't complain after you get out of the hospital.

  • Wading into a "Death to America" protest with a camera is a foolish thing to do.The US Embassy warns all Americans to AVOID any protests in South Korea because of the danger of personal attack. The SMART thing to do is to avoid these anti-American protests. This is true even if you are Canadian, Australian, or British because the protestors will assume you are an American.

  • Walking into a "Death to America" protest? You are stupid. You're lucky they didn't kick your ass.

  • Is that in somyoung lol you know no one in America has mad cow an I eat beef about every other day.
