Lightroom Raw Conversion

Greg and I thought it would be fun and informative for you guys to e mail a raw file of an Image you would like us to correct. Please only use FroKnowsPhoto@gmail.com or contact me on SKYPE to transfer the file !!! What will happen is I will try my hand at editing the file and than Greg will do the same. We will not converse or see each others edits as to not influence how we will edit the image.

In the first example today I selected one of my RAW files and made the tweaks that I usually make to my images. Than it was Greg's turn to tweak the file to his liking, take a look at the video below and you will get the picture no pun intended.

Hi Jared. Can you please explain about lost of wide angle if you have a canon

24-70mm on a 7D.

@ClankyRochet sure, take the focal length and multiply it by 1.6x and you get what the lens is acting as. so instead of a 24 its now a 38 mm.

Great idea. It allows us to see how two people can have different visualizations of the same image. Do you agree that it's not a matter of whose results are "right" or "wrong," but of whether the manipulation achieved the individual's goal? As such, it might be interesting if Greg and you would state your goal for each image before you start manipulating it. Just a thought.

I'm diggin Gregs corrections, I like both photos, but I don't have a problem cropping. You can crop in the dark room, so why not crop in PS? I did find the wall on upper right corner to be a little distractions, but both great pics none the less. Jared did take the actual photo though! Nice work guys, keep the vids coming!
